I’ve got some fashion inspiration for What to Wear Christmas Day. I’m kind of a traditionalist when it comes to the Christmas holidays. So, it’s no surprise that I’m featuring red in many of these looks today!
Of course, you don’t have to wear traditional holiday colors to be festive. And I have a few outfits in this post that don’t feature traditional red and green. For instance, I would definitely wear the outfit above during any holiday celebration. I love that outfit. It’s comfortable and flattering. Plus, I feel great wearing it, and that is what is most important.
What to Wear Christmas Morning
For this first What to Wear Christmas Day look, I am featuring gorgeous deep red loungewear for opening presents Christmas morning. Actually, I would probably wear this the whole day for a laid-back Christmas celebration at home.
I featured this loungewear look from Soma in this post recently. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve worn this Sunday top and Sunday banded pants set. It is so comfortable, and I absolutely love it! It comes in other colors and prints besides the red. I even put a second set of these on my personal Christmas list!
What to Wear to an Afternoon Gift Exchange
This pretty soft pink sweater is an Ann Taylor find. I like pairing it with a nice pair of jeans for a casual get together with friends and family. I’ve ordered these Blondo boots too to replace a similar pair I wear all the time. These beloved earrings round out this look.
What to Wear to Christmas Dinner
I have two outfit ideas for what to wear to Christmas dinner. The one above is more casual but still festive. I like the jewel buttons on the ivory sweater. The red velveteen pants can be worn all winter!
My last Christmas Day look is for a more formal dinner party. The beautiful winter white sweater looks spectacular and comes in a deep purple color too. I love the embellished slip skirt – what a great closet staple. It can be paired with different tops and sweaters each holiday season.
