When searching for a good face cream, I often look at labels for several key ingredients that are found naturally in our skin. The first two I look for are ceramide and niacinamide. I was first introduced to these two ingredients when I started using CeraVe moisturizers.
Ceramides are natural lipids that make up a big part of our skin structure. They help our skin retain moisture and protect our skin. Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3. It works with ceramides to retain moisture and build a barrier to protect our skin reducing the visible effects of environmental damage. Niacinamide also helps with redness and inflammation which is great for people like me who suffer with sensitive skin and rosacea.
The third ingredient I like to look for in a face cream is the key ingredient found in Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel-cream. It’s hyaluronic acid.
Hyaluronic acid is also found naturally in our bodies. It helps retain water to keep tissues in your body like your skin moist and lubricated.
As you can see, all of these ingredients work to help our skin stay well moisturized and hydrated. Of course, we know how important that is for fighting fine line and wrinkles!
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream
I’ve been using Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel-cream lately as my night face cream and am very happy with the results. It’s lightweight formula is moisturizing without feeling too greasy. I’ve even started applying it to my t-zone area that is not as dry without any problems.
If you have really oily skin, Neutrogena does make a water-gel formula too.
I was first introduced to this line of products when searching for a good eye cream – read this post here.
I’ve included more Neutrogena Hydro Boost skin products below. I may have to give some more of them a try too!
