While I really don’t want the weather to get too cold, I am always ready for new fall shoe styles! Clogs and mules are taking a front row seat this season. But I can’t say I’m embracing the traditional clog styles yet, which is surprising since I used to wear clogs almost exclusively when they were popular years ago! I even still have a pair of clogs from that time!
Clogs are a great style to go with the bootcut and flare jeans we’re seeing this fall. Plus, I do love the convenience of slipping them on and being ready to go.
However, if you are like me and can’t quite get on board with wearing clogs again just yet, there is a more classic option that will look great with many jean styles this fall. I like to call these bootie mules! Sometimes they are just referred to as mules, booties, or even categorized as a clog.
While I think of traditional clogs having a more rounded toe, these bootie mules have more of a pointed toe with a block heel. And while many of the clogs styles we are seeing this year have been updated with a block heel, the following finds have more of a traditional boot look. I think this gives them more longevity in your closet!
While I love this gorgeous braided bootie mule, most of the ones I feature above are under the $90 to $100 price point. This braided bootie mule is just as cute and has a lower heel. This lower heel zipper style is under $50 and comes in a darker brown and black.
And I love the cut out design on this waterproof bootie mule. and on the Dolce Vita pair featured at the top of the post.
What do you think about the resurgence of clogs for fall?
