Summer Fashion Trends 2019

Are you all finally having some spring weather? We are here, and it makes me excited for my favorite time of year – summer! So today, I’m posting a summer fashion trends 2019 edition.

I wasn’t sure I was going to have much different to say about this year’s summer styles, since many are the same as this year’s Spring Trends. Yet, I did find a lot more to tell you all about. Many of these trends are still around from last year, some are different, and lots of them are practical for most of our lifestyles!

Polka Dots

Jumpsuit | Puff Sleeve Dress | Asymmetrical Hem Dress | Maxi Dress

I love this trend! It’s not only a trend, it’s also a classic and something you may already have in your closet. If not, this is a cute and budget friendly Polka Dot Top with sleeves!

Romantic Styles

Pink Floral Maxi Dress | Pink Lace Dress | Blue Floral Maxi | Floral Jumpsuit

When I think of romantic styles, I picture things like soft colors, delicate fabrics, really feminine silhouettes, ruffles, lace, and florals. Plus, florals are big this year. I even dedicated an entire Post to them!

Neutrals

Dress | Handbag | Wedges | Wedges | Pants | Leopard Slides

Then, we have a completely opposite style if romantic is not your thing! Neutrals are trending – think safari looks. I also need to give a shout out to trending button down tops and dresses too.

In fact, did you see the button down dress that Megan Markle was wearing when she and Prince Harry showed off their new baby. I think this Dress looks like a similar version of the one she was wearing.

Wide-Legged Flowy Pants / High Waisted Flowy Shorts

White Pants | Tan Stripe Shorts | Ruffle Shorts | Blue Stripe Pants

I’m not sure something too flowy and wide-legged is the best silhouette on me, but this pant style is definitely popular this year. What do you think?

The flowy shorts are cute, and a style I might can wear. You often see these styles with a built-in tie or belt. I really like This Pair of shorts. I also love the ruffles on these Shorts.

Jumpsuits

This trend from last year is still going strong as you can tell from some of the items I included above. If you are like me, I have a lot of mixed emotions about it. I think they are cute, but I haven’t found one that I love on me! Then, there is the whole bathroom issue!!

Maxi Dresses

Maxi dresses have been around for several summers now. I have included some above, but if you already have one, you are good to go!

Shoe Styles

Sporty Sandals that have a more feminine look are going to be popular this summer just like the more feminine sneaker styles we’ve been seeing. Also, slides are everywhere. I really like a slide sandal if it is comfortable and stays on well. They are just so convenient to slip on and go.

Also, I want to mention all those wedge sandals that might be in your closet are still definitely in style for spring. I found These Wedges on sale for under $50 while researching this post.

Basket Handbags

Basket weave is still popular in terms of handbags. Also, the circle handbag trend is still around.

As far as colors go, yellow, pink, and lavender are trendy.
