While a classic winter coat in a neutral color is a closet staple, coats are being made in a wide range of bright colors and patterns more than ever today. And I’m here for all the stylish winter coat options I’m seeing!
Buying a winter coat used to be the last thing I gave much thought and effort. Maybe, this is because I grew up and lived in the south. Yeah, I needed a winter coat down there! However, the really cold weather season was a little shorter. Many times, I could also get away with just wearing a heavy jacket over a sweater. When I moved further north, that’s something that definitely changed. So now, my coat and jacket wardrobe has definitely expanded.
Today, I rounded up some stylish winter coats if you are in need of a new one. Most of these coats are discounted for the holiday season, so now is a great time to get a good deal. Also, many of the ones I’m sharing come in petite sizes too!
Plaid
Plaid is really a big trend in coats. It’s also a classic pattern if you are like me and tend to buy a winter coat that you will have for years. I love all the options listed above and think you could wear any of them over most any color you like.
Here’s another chain belted plaid coat option and this green plaid coat is gorgeous too.
Sherpa
Sherpa has become more and more popular over the years. And I can see why! What’s not to love about being bundled up in this soft and warm fabric! You used to see it only in the lining of coats, but now it also used as trim or makes up the coat entirely.
This Sherpa quilted coat from Loft is so cute in white.
Bold Color
While a classic neutral is always a good choice, I do love seeing more and more bold colors lately! I like the cheery splash of color on a cloudy cold day! Besides pink, purple has been another trending color in coats this year. I love this coat above and this coat in purple too.
Dressed in Faith
For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.
