Happy Friday everyone! It’s also the start of a brand new month. Wow! February few by in a hurry, but I’m glad most of winter is behind us! Today, I’m sharing some spring closet staples. While this probably doesn’t cover everything basic to a good spring wardrobe, it’s a starting point.
Pastel Sweater – Since many of us still have cool weather ahead, a lightweight spring sweater is an essential. I like something light and bright in color too such as a White or pastel sweater. You can go with a good light colored neutral too.
Spring Dress – I lead a casual lifestyle and don’t wear many dresses. I especially don’t wear them here in Indiana during the winter! By the time spring comes around, I ready for a pretty Dress though. I like a go to dress that can be worn casually or dressed up a bit. Florals are always good for spring, but a great Solid Color Dress in a spring color is great too.
Spring Jacket – You may want a couple of good lightweight jackets in your spring wardrobe. This Long Trench is gorgeous!
White Jeans – While pant styles are starting to change, I will probably go with a skinny White Jean again this year. I would also have a basic pair in my closet that go no higher than ankle length too. You can always roll the cuff for a more cropped look if you want. Of course if you’ve never been a fan of skinny jeans, go with your preferred style of white jeans.
Fun Denim – Okay, this one is a little more trendy. We probably already have a good pair of jeans in a preferred style from our winter closets to wear into spring. So, you might want to try out one of the cuffed Straight or wide hem looks that are coming on strong for spring.
Fashion Sneaker – There are so many fun colors and prints in fashion sneakers out there! Since we are talking basics here though, a white sneaker seems to be the closet essential this spring.
Transitional Sandal – As the weather warms up, our toes can come out of hiding! I like to have a good sandal that is a little more substantial. That way my feet can be kind of warm if needed but still look like it’s spring. Flats or Loafers will always be a great classic spring shoe too. White Tee – I definitely like to have a white tee for layering. I would then pick out a few more layering tees in my favorite spring colors. Depending on where you live, you may want a couple of Long Sleeve Tees at the start of the season.
Spring Handbag – I usually change out my purse with each season. For lots of cute spring handbag options, check out this Post.
