Today on the blog, I’m modeling two ruffle button front blouses. The first blouse has long sleeves with button cuffs. This one comes in a pretty purple hyacinth color, but I’m afraid it’s about sold out in petite sizes. There are plenty of regular sizes left, but you may want to size down in a regular size if you are extra petite.
I paired both of the blouses today with these Kut From The Kloth jeans. These have a slight flare and are comfortable but fit a little tighter. I would size up in these jeans.
While I’ve styled these blouses very casually today, they both would be great options for work with pants or skirts too.
If you really prefer or need a petite size, I did find an almost identical blouse to this one in whisper white. It’s well stocked in most sizes and would be a great closet staple. I think it would look especially great with denim – kind of wish I ordered it too!
This biggest difference between the one in purple and the one in white appears to be the fabric. The purple blouse is a crinkle material. The white blouse is a light woven material.
The second ruffle button front blouse I’m sharing has short ruffle cap sleeves. I’m wearing this one in charcoal, and it also comes in a gorgeous red and dark purple color. I think this blouse in charcoal makes a great closet staple too.
This outfit represents a formula look for me. I always feel confident and put together wearing a black top or sweater, any style jeans, and black shoes or boots. A lot of ladies like nude shoes which would work too. However, I love to bookend my look with black footwear.
My husband sometimes tells me I own and wear too much black, ha-ha, but this just works for me!
Everything from these two outfits is linked below plus more ruffle button front blouses similar to the short sleeve charcoal one in other patterns.
