I’m looking back at 2022 again today and sharing my fashion favorites. I don’t list these in any particular order of importance since I liked each one of these purchases for different reasons. All played a valuable part in my wardrobe and still do!
I had gathered my list for this post and decided to check back through older posts from the year to be sure I didn’t miss anything. I am so glad I did! I had missed a few things I just love from spring and summer. And they were missed not because they aren’t great items. We are just not living in that season right now, so it’s out of sight out of mind.
This year, I even had to decide between a few items and make a decision as to what was most worthy of making this list. I didn’t want this post to get too long. Plus to keep things brief, I’m also going to do a separate post on my beauty favorites from 2022 which will conclude my review of last year.
Knit Blazer
The first item on my favorites list is one of the more expensive purchases. However, this wonderful Gibsonlook knit blazer is totally worth it! I’ve tried a few other blazers in the past and didn’t think they looked very flattering on me. I thought maybe I’m just not made to wear a blazer. This one, however, has been a total game changer!
I think this blazer is especially good if you work outside the home and need to dress professionally. But it’s also great for casual wear too which is how I mostly wear it! It comes in tons of fabulous colors. I would personally own it in a couple of colors if I worked in an office that requires a more formal dress code.
I sized up in this blazer for a looser fit and am happy I did. It’s super comfortable and easy to wear. The sleeves can also be easily rolled up.
When I bought this last spring, the price was not quite as high, and I did have a discount. Yet at $99, I feel like this is still a great value. I see so many blazers priced much higher. Plus, if you sign up for emails at Gibsonlook, they’ll give you 10% off your purchase.
Ann Taylor Camp Shirt
Back in the spring, I was looking for a great classic white blouse. I love the look of a crisp button down shirt with jeans, but traditional button down shirts don’t often work for me. Then, I tried the Ann Taylor Camp Shirt.
I loved this blouse so much that I also ordered the blouse in black. I know these two will be a closet staples for years. They look great under a blazer or worn on their own. This blouse is very light-weight and has a flattering fit.
It comes in several colors and patterns in regular and petite.
Soma Enbliss Wireless Bra & Embraceable Racerback Bra
I have a confession on the racerback bra below. I actually purchased it in black several years ago but bought it in nude last year. I found I didn’t wear the black one as much as I thought I would despite this bra being extremely comfortable. However, I think it was the color choice since I’m more likely to wear a racerback bra under lighter colored summer tops.
In spite of having to pull this racerback bra over your head to get into it, I have to say it’s one of my best fitting bras! It’s so comfortable I hardly realize it’s there!
The Enbliss Wireless bra is also really good. I was looking for a better bra to lay seamlessly under thin tops and tees, and this one works really well.
Loft Smocked Tee
While the reviews on Loft’s website are mixed, I absolutely love this smocked tee! This is one item I almost forgot to put on the list, but only because it’s been awhile now since I’ve worn it.
Last year was the year I bought several items in multiple colors, and I don’t usually do that! However, I made an exception for closet staples like this tee. The fit was just what I was looking for in a summer tee, and I like the smocking on the shoulder.
This tee is still available but mostly in black and white. It’s also on clearance right now and marked way down, but it cannot be returned. I think this tee has been around for several years, but I really hope they bring it back next year.
Kendra Scott Earrings & Victoria Emerson Bracelets
Of course, I had to put my earrings that I’m reaching for all the time on the list.
Victoria Emerson bracelets have quickly become a top favorite of mine too. I was influenced by other fashion bloggers I follow to try out these pretty wrap bracelets. These affordable bracelets are really stunning to wear. This pretty gold and silver bracelet was a Christmas gift from my son.
Beach Hat
We enjoyed a trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama back in August. I ordered and brought this beach hat along with me. I adore this hat! It’s so comfortable to wear, packs easily, and feels so much more expensive than it is.
I know I said each of these items were not listed in any particular order but this hat could easily be at the top of my list!
This little swimsuit coverup deserves to be mentioned too. I actually wore it on the trip as a dress to go out to dinner.
Ann Taylor Lavender Blouse
Lavender was a popular color last year, and one of my favorites too!
I wore this pretty blouse with both white jeans and shorts. It’s unavailable to purchase at this point, but it has a permanent spot in my closet. I look forward to wearing it again this spring and summer!
Lou & Grey Sweatshirt
I purchased several Lou & Grey tops at Loft last fall, and most every one of them are among my fashion favorites from 2022.
This black sweatshirt is warm, cozy, and comes in lots of colors. There are also matching joggers available. I love pairing this casual black piece with jeans.
Lou & Grey Long Sleeve Tee
I purchased this soft tee in a couple of colors too! It’s a wonderful staple to have in your closet.
And this great top was the most popular item among all of you last year too! If you missed that post, view it here.
Whew! I think that’s a wrap! Stay tuned as next week I’ll be covering all my best beauty buys from 2022.
