Hello beautiful ladies, and welcome to another post here at Dressed in Faith! I have another try-on session today featuring some white denim from J. Crew Factory. I also have a spring sweater and blouse from there to share too.
I’m going to need your help today deciding which white denim jeans to keep. I actually have three pairs of white denim to style today from J. Crew Factory. However, I already own one of the three pairs below and wanted to add a second pair to my spring wardrobe.
I thought I had easily made up my mind when this order first came in last week. But, when I tried everything on again for this try-on session, I started second guessing my decision. Then, I saw these pictures – I love both choices!
Before we get to the white jeans, let’s look at this light-weight spring sweater.
Stripes are supposed to be a big trend this spring, and I love the green color of this sweater. Yet, this striped sweater is more fitted than it looks in these pictures. I’m wearing a medium and felt it was a little small, especially across the chest. I think some items do tend to run a little small for me at J. Crew Factory. Of course, I’ve gotten used to wearing lots of oversized sweaters and tops lately too.
Maybe, I would feel more comfortable going up a size. It does come in sizes xx-small thru 3x. It also gets really good reviews. They have a pink stripe color in this sweater also. I would say if you don’t mind a more fitted sweater style and don’t run very large in your chest area that this is a nice option for spring.
I styled this sweater with blue jeans since the white stripe is not a true white. It didn’t work as well as I thought with the white jeans in this post.
Next, I have a this flowy, looser fitting spring blouse.
I really like this green and light pink check blouse. It has nice flowy sleeves (not too overwhelming) for early spring. The sleeves can easily be pushed up when it gets warmer. I also like the small ruffle detail around the the cuffs and neckline.
This blouse comes in a blue-green pattern too, but my favorite is the green-pink combination.
Now, let’s talk about this first pair of white denim jeans.
I didn’t love these cropped flare white jeans when I first put them on because they felt a little small. However, the second time I tried them on I felt they fit much better. In fact, they may stretch out some with wear. I did order up one size in a petite.
I love that these cropped jeans with a raw edge are super light-weight making them a great jean to wear through the heat of the summer. They are not see thru, but I feel like I can see the outline of the material making up the front pockets in person. In these pictures, I don’t notice it at all behind the normal ruching you often see to some degree with all denim.
These jeans are fitted through the waist and thighs like most flare or bootcut style jeans. I really think they look cute in these pictures. I was originally prepared to send them back because I thought the sizing was wrong. Now, I’m not so sure?
The second pair of denim I’m sharing I’ve already styled earlier here in this post.
These slim straight boyfriend white jeans are more of a classic style, and the pair I intended on keeping. They are plenty roomy. I did order a size up in a petite in these jeans and wonder if I just needed my normal size. These jeans are also very thick. They are probably the thickest of the three pairs I’m showing today, so you have no see thru with this white denim.
I ordered this pair to wear as an alternative to the ones below that I already own.
I’ve worn these essential straight white jeans for several years now, and they are still available at J. Crew Factory. I was surprised that I don’t mind the button up fly on these jeans. They have held up beautifully to washing and wearing.
When I bought these jeans, I probably should have sized down as they have stretched out a bit. However, now that I’m a few pounds heavier, I’m glad I didn’t. Ha!
I do tend to buy my jeans a size too big, because I just don’t like anything too tight. Most of the time, it works out, but there have been a few brands where I regretted doing that.
What do you think? Which pair do you like best?

I think the 2nd pair is the most flattering! White jeans are so hard, thank you for showing us some options!
I think I am keeping the second pair! Thanks for the help!
I’m not crazy about the button ones. I think the other pair look nicer on you.
I actually already own them. However, I understand that not everyone is crazy about the button up ones. I am not normally a fan of them either. But I remember getting them on sale at a really good price and liking them better than I thought. I am keeping the slim boyfriend jeans too.
