In my last post, I forgot to wish all of you happy July! I’m doing it now along with wishing you a happy 4th of July. Can y’all believe it? Where did June go?!
My look today features this pretty green dot ruffle tank from Kohl’s. It’s a mixed media top meaning the back is made up of a soft solid t-shirt material and the front has the green dot overlay pattern.
I’m wearing this ruffle tank with these distressed denim shorts. I love these shorts (see this post here where I first introduced them). The distressing is in just the right places with no see through.
I’m also wearing these gold sandals that are so comfortable! Metallic sandals seem to be a popular trend this year. I like that these are a more subtle metallic gold.
This ruffle tank not only has ruffles around the sleeves but also at the neckline which is another huge trend. It also has a keyhole neckline with a button closure.
This top looks really cute buttoned, but I choose to leave it unbuttoned since I think a lower neckline looks more flattering on me. If you like the look of a ruffled neckline like I do but don’t think a higher neckline suits your body type, look for tops with a button like this one or a split neck top (see this post).
