I love sundresses for summer, and I’m always looking for the perfect one! This floral sundress I recently found meets all my qualifications and then some! It is comfortable, cool, and so pretty! I’ve got two different looks – one to wear now and one to wear later. This little dress is such a classic piece that I will get a lot of wear out of for years to come!
The armholes of this dress are very big which is on purpose. It is meant to be worn with a Bralette. I never in a million years thought I could wear a bralette! Well, never say never!! I learned I could wear my regular bra or a strapless bra under the bralette for better support. I think I like wearing the bralette more than a tank top underneath this dress! I will talk more about wearing a bralette after age 40 in tomorrow’s post, so stay tuned!

I found this dress down in Tennessee at Sassafras On The Square Boutique. I didn’t get a good picture of the back of the dress, but it has a pretty gray ribbon tie. This boutique is not online, but you can follow them on Instagram or Facebook. If you see something you like, they will ship it to you.
Next, I wanted to try out a fall look with this dress. It has a some orange tones in it along with black and gray. My husband was not a fan of this look with the black booties. Lol What do you think?
I also tried it out with a cardigan for cooler weather. I think it would have come together better if I had grabbed my black cardigan for this look, but I wanted to experiment with this cute cardigan I recently purchased!

I just love the shape of this Circle Cardigan! I picked it up at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They’ve got some great fall closet staples if you want to get ahead with your fall shopping.
While I’m excited about the fall items I’ve purchased recently, I still want to keep enjoying this summer weather while I can! Since we do have a lot of summer left, I will continue to show some summer looks for a little longer.

Cute dress! I have to agree with your hubby. I don’t care for the black booties. I think gray or another neutral would look better, and I would probably do the same with the bralette. There’s just not much black in the dress, (from looking at the pictures. Maybe in person, the black is more noticeable), but the black booties and bralette stand out a little too much. Just my opinion! But the dress is darling!
I definitely agree that it would have looked better with gray booties. I was in too big of a hurry. LOL They did have some gray and white bralettes too. I wish now I had tried those on with it. Oh well, it’s something I will definitely consider next time!

I have to agree I don’t like the black booties with it – too much contrast. Probably needs a lighter tone – beige or taupe. But I like the booties themselves. 😊

I also think a neutral bootie would have made a difference. But a black sweater would have blended with the booties better. Too much contrast. I love the booties though.
