Today’s post is all about eye serums and gels. It seems I’m constantly on the lookout for great eye serums or gels! As always, I want something that does a fabulous job for a reasonable price. Honestly, I’m probably way too picky when it comes to these types of products – I want a miracle worker. I really want something that gets rid of puffiness, fine lines, and gives my hooded eyelids a little lift all in one. Haha!
While there are some great eye products out there, they can only go so far though. I know I need to be content with the eyes I’ve got at this age. Even so, it’s still very important to care for the delicate skin around them.
I’ve found two eye products I’ve been using for months that I really like plus I have a new bonus product for the face I’m excited to share today too. First, let’s talk eye creams.
Since I love using the Olay Regenerist Cream on my face so much, I thought I would try this Olay Eyes Lifting Serum. I did notice a little difference when I first started using this product. I thought my eyes looked a little lifted. Now that I’ve been using it awhile, I don’t notice it as much. Maybe I’ve just gotten used to it – ha! Nonetheless, it is still a great moisturizing eye cream.
I also added the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel to my regiment too. I will grab one or the other of these two eye creams to put on in the morning and at night. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost products contain hyaluronic acid, and hyaluronic acid is your friend since it’s super moisturizing.
I really like both of these eye creams, though I seem to be grabbing the Neutrogena gel more often at the moment.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Eye Gel | Olay Eye Lifting Serum | CeraVe Retinol Serum
The last product I want to mention is a face product. It’s the CeraVe Skin Renewing Retinol Serum. Of course, retinol is so good for facial wrinkles. I remember using Retin A cream for acne when I was a teenager. My mom wanted to borrow it at the time, because she couldn’t get over how young my skin looked.
So the first time retinol products became over the counter, I wanted to try them so badly. I was advised not to use them since I have now have rosacea. So, my skin is really sensitive. Then, CeraVe came out with this product. I’ve had a lot of success with CeraVe (read this post here). In fact, CeraVe is recommended for sensitive skin and has ingredients known to help with rosacea.
So, I just had to try it and am so glad I did! I do use just a tiny bit about every other night. I also do not put it all over my face. I use it only where I think I need it and avoid the spots where I have the most trouble with my rosacea. Plus, my rosacea is pretty under control right now. So if you have that condition like I do, I would be very cautious with any retinol product.
Otherwise, I highly recommend the CeraVe Retinol Serum. My husband even said the other day after I started using it that I looked really young. Lol
