Welcome back to another post here on Dressed in Faith! Today, I’m styling a black pocket shift dress from Loft in two different yet subtle ways. I haven’t been this giddy over a casual warm weather dress in a long time. I really love this one and can’t wait to start wearing it.
Back when I stayed with my son after his surgery (you can read about that here in my recent Life Lately post), I had a quick moment to run by Loft. That trip resulted in finding this little dress that’s a Lou & Grey Signaturesoft item.
This dress comes in several great colors besides black – grey, fuchsia, and green. I love it in black, because I think you can easily dress it up or down. Even though it’s meant to be casual, I think you could wear the black in a casual work setting. Add a light-weight cardigan for a chilly air conditioned room.
However, for today’s post, I had vacation on my mind regarding this first look.
This black pocket shift dress would be so versatile for taking on a trip! Pair it with comfort sandals like I have here, and you have a comfortable outfit for touring and sightseeing.
It could be dressed up for a nice dinner. And you could even throw it on over a swimsuit.
I think it looks super cute with my favorite hat too!
For the second look, I styled it how I will likely wear it this spring at home. It’s a great alternative to shorts to wear running errands around town and on the weekends.
I paired it here with my favorite sneakers and a white denim jacket if it’s chilly.
This dress has a nice shape without being too form fitting – it’s very forgiving. I purchased it in my normal size. The ample pockets on this black shift pocket dress are sewn on the outside and don’t add any bulk too.
I love it when I find something that fits well and can be worn so many ways!
