For today’s post, I am doing something very brave – brave for me that is! I am modeling two chic swimsuits for the pool, lake, or beach. I thought when I started this blog never in a million years would I model swimwear! Ha!! Yet, if I’m going to wear a swimsuit to whatever public destination, why should I be afraid to share it here?!
I love to visit the beach, but like a lot of you feel, I think finding the right swimsuit can be difficult! We are all different shapes and sizes, but there is swimwear out there for all different shapes and sizes. It just takes some time and determination to find the right one. I tried on so many suits this year before picking out the two below! Also, we all need to be less critical of ourselves when trying on swimsuits too!
Pink Swimsuit Top (Similar Pattern) | Coverup ( Longer Version Here)
I’m styling the first, oh so chic, swimsuit with a White Coverup I’ve had forever! While the coverup I linked may not be this exact one, it is truly very similar! It also comes in a Longer Version.
Pink Swimsuit Top (Similar Pattern) | Pink Bottoms
While this pretty pink swimsuit looks like a swim dress, it is not. It’s two pieces, and I’m seeing a lot of styles like this one. The longer your torso, the shorter the front of the top will hang – I have a short torso.
This Tankini Top also has a sheer patterned layer over a solid pink layer. It has an supportive built-in underwire bra, and the back is a racerback style.
The Bottoms on this suit provide a lot of coverage. They are pretty true to size.
For this next look, I used the same bottoms with a different Tankini Top. Don’t be afraid to mix and match your pieces!
Floral Ruffle Swimsuit Top | Pink Bottoms
I love this Floral Ruffle Top. It is actually sheer or mesh through the mid-section which makes it super cool for the heat, but you can’t see everything through it!
It does have a shelf bra but no underwire support on this one. That might be something you want to consider if you need more support up top. Both of these suits do have adjustable straps.
A lot of tankini suits can be tight-fitting around the waist which can also show every little bulge. I like that these two are not skintight. I also think that makes them more comfortable to wear.
I know tankini swimwear sometimes gets a bad rap for being a mom suit, kind of like mom jeans. Yet, there are a lot of chic ones out there in different styles that are modern and edgy.
I personally like this type of suit when you want more coverage better than a one piece. It is just so much easier when you need to run into your hotel to use the ladies’ room! Please don’t tell me I’m the only one who thinks about this with everything I wear?! Ha!
One more thing I want to share with you is I found this CeraVe Face Sunscreen! CeraVe is a favorite for my skin – you can read about that in this Post. As you can tell, I have extremely fair skin and problems with rosacea! When I was younger, I wanted to be tan so badly! I finally accepted that God made me with reddish hair and very fair skin which I’m not going to fight! So, I was so happy to find this in my favorite brand!
Love the swimsuits and you look beautiful in them!
Thank you!
Hahaha…I always wear two piece suits for that EXACT reason!!! So much easier, especially if your suit is wet! But I like the modesty of a tankini style. These are cute options!
Thank you! Yes, pulling off a wet suit is the worst!
Beautiful choices! I am a tankini girl for the very same reasons: modesty, comfort, and style. And I am in love with CeraVe products. I started using them upon recommendation from my dermatologist and they don’t disappoint.
CeraVe products are wonderful! I have tried others and always go back to CeraVe!
Dianna, thank you for your bravery. You look beautiful in these suits! Very good choices. I love the bright colors. I bought a black swimsuit to go to Hawaii, with the idea that it would be slimming, and found out I looked very out of place in it. All around me were wearing tropical colors!
Thank you Debbie! Hawaii sounds wonderful! That’s interesting that there were no other black bathing suits – I saw quite a few shopping. I bet you looked fabulous in that black suit!
