Save Verses Splurge Spring Edition

I am really wanting some spring weather. How about you? We are still in the thick of cold weather where I live which is making me impatient for the season to change. Plus, I’m ready for a different wardrobe too! In anticipation of the new season, I have a save verses splurge post today for spring.

I love just love these types of posts! They show how you can look great without spending a fortune on clothing and accessories. With all the shopping options we have today, you can usually find a look-alike item for more expensive or designer items that look just as nice. In fact, I often prefer the look of the less expensive items!

Foe example, I really like this Old Navy Flutter Sleeve Top. While the Yellow Top from Dillard’s is very nice too, I gravitate towards the Old Navy top because I prefer a v-neck and like the styling of the sleeves a little better. I also like the darker yellow if I’m going to wear yellow. Of course, I would need to try both on before making a decision. I’ve been known to be wrong!

I also like this White Handbag. The more expensive leather One is gorgeous and will last many years. For my budget though, I’m drawn to the one with the cute tie detail.

Speaking of styles, I’m noticing a lot of stripes in the stores. Stripes have been popular over the past few seasons and don’t seem to be going anywhere. Of course, stripes are classic too. What’s your favorite trend for the spring season?
