A Classic White Blouse for Spring

I mentioned in a recent try-on session that I was looking for a classic white blouse for spring. I had in mind a button down shirt or blouse that I could pair with jeans or pants for an easy casual or dressy look. Well, I’ve found a blouse that I love, and this one is actually called winter white. It’s not a bright white, but more of a creamy white which I really like!

This camp shirt from Ann Taylor is also not a true button down which is okay with me too. It still has the classic lines and look I was wanting! While I will mostly wear this blouse casually, this blouse is a great workwear piece that can be layered under a jacket or worn as is.

This well-tailored blouse has exactly what I look for in any top or blouse these days. It’s softly fitted without being too tight. Yet, it’s very roomy and almost oversized. I’m typically okay with wearing a small or medium blouse in regular sizing. However, I sized down to a petite medium since this blouse runs a little big and is long.

The V-neck on this blouse is deep, but I feel comfortable wearing it. They added a hidden button to keep it from gaping open inappropriately.

I’ve mentioned before how tough the weather can be where I live in Indiana, even in the spring. We’ve had lots of cloudy days with rain. And the wind here is always ferocious! Yet, I thought I could get some pictures outside this day and was wrong! I can see the frustration on my face. Ha!

We decided to step inside to get one last shot.

I paired this blouse with these affordable skinny jeans. While I’ve moved to mostly wearing straighter styled jeans, skinny jeans still seem to be an equally popular choice here in the Midwest.

I know I will love wearing this blouse as I wait for our spring weather to improve! In fact, I’m tempted to purchase another one as it comes in other colors and patterns. This pretty light blue color would look so good with white jeans. There is also a sleeveless version of this blouse for warmer weather. This fruit pattern would be fun for summer.
