Here on Dressed In Faith, I want to encourage women in their faith in Christ and in their self-confidence as a dearly beloved child of God. I also want to share His love and plan of salvation with those who happen to discover my blog and may not know Him. So, that is why I write devotionals. As a Christian, I feel it is most important to regularly get dressed in faith too!
While this year has been full of sickness, sadness, and unrest in our country, I know Christ can heal and change hearts, attitudes, and minds. He is the light in a dark world! No one is beyond His reach! I fully believe that it is through Christ’s teachings that we grow and learn to live our lives as the best people we can be.
We are all created and loved equally by God. He expects us to love and respect others equally as well too. While we won’t be perfect, He also offers us forgiveness and grace, and we are called to extend that same forgiveness to our fellow mankind.
I am praying for my community, state, country, and world just as I’m sure you are at this time. While I may sometimes feel helpless to make a difference this chaotic world, I know God can take our kindness towards others and our work for Him within our own backyards to produce great things that have a bigger impact than we could imagine!
So today, I just want to encourage you to not be discouraged even with what’s happening around us. Keep reaching for Him, keep following His will for you, and keep striving to do your best. We can have joy through Christ even in times of darkness, because we know in the end all darkness will cease and His light will shine forever.
Dressed in Faith
Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.
Psalm 112:4
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
