In this chaotic world, it’s sometimes hard to know what is true. While we are fortunate to live in an age where we have numerous information and news instantly at our fingertips, we certainly cannot count on it to all be accurate. We live in an age of fake news and fact checkers. It seems anyone can publish or broadcast slanted facts and statistics as factual truth.
So, how is the average person to respond, make decisions, or simply know what to believe?
When I find myself confused on how to react to so much differing information, there is only one place I go to seek truth. Turn to God and His Word – our light in a world of darkness.
While I don’t always get instant answers and the future is always unknown, He guides me in the following ways.
He brings me to a sense of balance and peace in a world of confusion. He gives me wisdom to be cautious yet tells me not to be anxious or fearful. He brings me confidence yet warns me if I’m too prideful.
He guides me to make wise decisions and choices when I seek His wisdom and discernment. Sometimes, life’s choices are good whichever I decide. Other times, both ways hold obstacles or unknowns. Either way, I can trust Him with the things out of my control.
He always gives me assurance and hope. I have assurance that He loves me, will provide for me, and take care of me. He has given me assurance of salvation in Christ and a hope that goes beyond this world.
When we seek Christ, we find truth.

Send forth your light and your truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.
