Today, I have some inspiration for what to wear while we are staying at home these days. I think it is good to try to get dressed for the day if possible, because it can lift our spirits. Even if you have a very low key day at home and want to stay in pajamas, why not look nice as you lounge around the house!
My first at home outfit (pictured above) is for someone who is working from home right now. Or, maybe not?! This pretty draped top from Soma is a great comfortable workwear piece for making conference calls. Plus, it would be great to wear into the office once routines have returned to normal.
I paired it with some leggings for staying indoors, but jeans would certainly work with this top too. If you are feeling really fancy, you could pair it with black pants for the office at home. Finish out this classic look with these flats that are on sale. Of course, you could wear some cozy slippers too – no one will know!
My second outfit is all about lounging in pajamas all day. I love the blue and white on these that are from Soma too – the colors just say spring! If it’s a cold day, slip on a Barefoot Dreams cardigan. They are on sale at a great price right now at Nordstrom. Maybe, you want to cuddle up with a blanket too for movie watching or reading.
My last outfit is for lounging, working on projects, or taking a walk outside – you decide! I considered getting one of these sweatshirts recently, because they are so soft! You could pair it with jeans, but I threw in another pair of leggings for being at home. Throw on this cap and sneakers if making a quick grocery run or going for a walk in the neighborhood.
I’m doing some deep cleaning and yard work since I cannot go to work, so I’ve definitely been wearing different clothes LOL! I saw a cute post earlier regarding ‘day’ pajamas and ‘night’ pajamas. I can say I am more productive when I change out of the pajamas I slept in even if I am putting on something that is similarly comfortable. I think it’s the act of ‘getting dressed for the day’. I look forward to your inspirational posts and I’m all for you adding lifestyle posts with your fashion and beauty messages. One of my goals during this time at home is to tackle my closet and go through all my clothes. I am a Breast cancer survivor and my doctor told me I needed to lose weight to slow the production of estrogen. I have lost almost 20 pounds since I began the survivor journey a little over a year ago. I have clothes that don’t fit crowding my closet. Thank you for your posts. I really enjoy them.
Congratulations on losing weight! That is awesome!! I am planning to add in a few lifestyle posts and will see how it goes. I really need to clean out my closet too and organize it. I would love to redesign it but share it with my husband, so we would have to do it together. I don’t know when we’ll find the time even though staying in more. If we ever get to it, I will definitely do a post about it.
