Today, I have two great products to share. They have all natural ingredients and are budget-friendly! I must admit most of the makeup products I love don’t fall into the all natural category. While I would love to transition to all 100% natural products, it is frustrating that you currently can’t find many good ones if you have to work within a smaller budget!
Then late last year, I was happy to see that Burt’s Bees really expanded their makeup product line. So, I thought I would give a couple of their items a try.
Burt’s Bees Eyeshadow Palette in Countryside Lavender | Burt’s Bees Blush in Shy Pink | Neutrogena Color Stick in Bright Berry | Twist Top (in other colors) Here & Here | Earrings
I absolutely love the Burt’s Bees eyeshadow palette in countryside lavender. It also comes in a dusky woods and shimmering nudes shade. This shadow has a silky feel that I love, is very pigmented, and blends very well. It also lasts all day without much creasing.
I also love the blush in shy pink much more than expect. It feels a lot like the eyeshadow, but I was a little worried that their pink shade would not work for me. I am very happy to say that it did!
I also tried a couple of tubes (just in case the first one had been sitting on the shelf too long) of the Burt’s Bees mascara. I really wished I liked it, but I had a hard time getting the product to transfer from the brush to my eyelashes – it definitely does not clump! Once I would get enough of the product on my lashes, it felt and looked great! It was just so frustrating the time spent in trying to get enough of the mascara on my lashes for them to look lengthened.
I think they may have a couple of other mascara formulas. If I decide to try any of those and have better results, I will let you know.
Though I am pretty sure it is not all natural, I next decided to try the Almay Multi-Benefit mascara pictured above. I like it a little bit better. It goes on better and doesn’t clump, but it can flake a little bit.
You can find all the Burt’s Bees products at Walmart, Target, and Ulta. I’ll link the products to various stores below. As of writing this post, Target did not have the eyeshadow in the lavender color. In fact, I notice these items are often sold out at my local store. Since I’ve been using the lavender eyeshadow every day, I bought an extra one last time I saw it in stock!
Are any of you trying to transition to all natural products? Have you found any you love? Let me know!
Love the lipstick…what brand/color is it? You look great….
Thank you!! I just updated the post with a link to my lip color – it’s Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick in bright berry. It’s been my go to lip color for awhile now!
Hello! I have just found your site via Pinterest. My eyes and skin became very sensitive and reactive as I reached perimenopause. I’ve recently started a (non commercial) blog about it. I feature my preferred makeup discoveries in a number of posts. My favourite natural mascara is from the 100% Pure brand.
I will certainly look at your recommendations. Thanks!
