In today’s post, I’m sharing 7 Wearable Fall Fashion Trends that are appropriate for women of all ages. It’s hard to believe we are already talking about fall fashion! Each year, I try to cut through all the noise of the extreme or outrageous trends that don’t work for most of us in everyday life. Instead, I want to bring out the best wearable fall fashion trends that we can easily incorporate into our wardrobes to stay modern and current.
Of course, some of these listed here may not suit everyone’s tastes which is completely okay! You don’t have to participate in every trend to stay looking current or fashionable. In fact, as I continue to develop my own personal style, I become more and more selective about the trends I choose to add to my own wardrobe.
My Own Fashion Trend Prediction
Also, before we get started, the first trend on my 7 Wearable Fall Fashion Trends list is not on any other fall 2024 lists I’ve researched. Many times, I will read where such and such trend will be popular this year. Then, I will not find it in any retail stores. So, I just went on a purely observational shopping trip for myself in preparation for this post.
One theme I’m seeing a lot in the retail stores where I shop is paisley prints. So, I’m going out on a limb and stating my own personal prediction with this one. We’ll see if enough women like paisley to keep it going.
7 Wearable Fall Fashion Trends
One of the things I’ve noticed in stores is a return to seeing more clothing in the paisley pattern. The height of popularity for paisley was actually in the 1960’s and 1970’s. I guess this one might be riding on the heels of wide leg jeans and pants that have made a comeback from that era too.
Another print trend that’s on most fall fashion trends lists is leopard print. While leopard print is something that I would wear trending or not, it’s a print that hasn’t been front and center for several seasons now. I’m glad to see this one back! And it’s one you can wear in small doses like accessories to add a little pop of interest to your outfit.
Wearing a tailored vest as a top has been trending this spring and summer. However, that’s not the only way to participate in this trend. For fall, you can opt for a softer look with a sweater vest, and it doesn’t have to button down the front either. Sleeveless sweaters like this sweater are a cute option for early fall days.
The cropped cardigan trend is also still going strong this year. This style of cardigan tends to balance out and look better with wide leg jeans and pants. Cropped cardigans also look equally good with bootcut, flare, and straight leg jeans too.
This trend is nothing new but deserves a spot on the list since wide leg jeans and pants are considered the most current. You may love them but don’t despair if you don’t.
First, jean styles are changing more rapidly than in the past. Second, there are other styles that are still considered current. Finally, if you don’t like wide leg jeans, you are not the only one. I personally don’t like them very much, especially how they look on me. If I find a pair of full leg jeans or pants that I like, they always have a much slimmer fit.
My Advice on Jeans
I personally like and feel confident wearing skinny jeans, straight jeans, bootcut jeans, and some flare jeans. Straight, bootcut, and flare jeans are still also modern and current. Skinny jeans are considered the least current of the styles. However, I’ve heard other bloggers say that they may be coming back at some point down the road, so we’ll see.
My best advice when it comes to jeans or pants is to find several styles you love and feel good about wearing. You can still look current and modern, even if they are not the most trending, by how you style the complete outfit.
Mary Jane styled shoes seem to be the dominate trend in shoes for fall. While you’ll see these mainly in flats, you can find that cross strap on shoes with heels of varying heights too.
The popular colors for fall this year are ones I like very much. I tend to wear a lot of green and purple. Red continues to be a big color for fall as well as chocolate brown. Compared to the normal array of neutrals we see in the fall, these fall colors are coming on strong in deep, rich hues.
So, what do think about these 7 wearable fall fashion trends? Which one are you most excited to see and wear this fall?
